The Top Ten SEO Companies for September 2007

I can’t believe its that time again. Hasn’t September flew in? So, what went on in September - we’ll Google went after those paid links especially those that blatantly sat above the radar. Has it effected the rankings of the Top Ten SEO Companies League? Not really! The cream of the crop don’t just rely on paid links - they work at getting their site to rank well. Its why their listed here after all. We have made another alteration though this month. We are just back to focusing on the Top ten Companies only, well it is called ‘The Top Ten SEO League’ after all.

What a good idea, nice to see a measurable way of judging seo companies.

People should always think ‘if a company isn’t ranking for ’seo’ related phrases are they going to be able to cut the mustard for my chosen keyphrases.’

The sad truth is that many people don’t think like this…

My advice is - take references, check results and don’t get your fingers burned!

Will tart up the template when I get some time - I hope :)

Good to see you taking on the big boys Paul and I notice your arch enemy is nowhere to be seen on the listings - you’ve whooped his ass!

That’s a nice idea, but as the SEO companies may not necessarily be optimising for those phrases it’s not really a true test.

Daz, I’m open to suggestions on what other keywords should be taken into consideration that will help display a better all-round profile on the top ranking SEO companies.

Please feel free to post your thoughts on how we can make it more transparent than it already is.

@ Shaun — I think Lynne has got mixed up here a wee bit. Its more to do with the keyword ‘web design glasgow‘ and a company that has been ranking top for years. I got close on a couple of occasions to knocking him off #1 then Google flung me back to the mid-twenties each time!

This time I have crawled back to 5/6th and have been stationary there for a number of weeks. I’ll give it another go soon.

I am mightily impressed with Lynne’s efforts. She is out First Lady of SEO in Scotland. I know Boyd of Ayrshire has told me about an excellent marketeer from Girvan but I am unaware of who she is.

For those stalkers out there you can view Lynne here.

She started out with a small private account at 360 and mostly in her spare time gave it pretty good rankings. Now she has been handed a bigger, jucier client and I have been impressed.

She found a great way to start mini online community portals and we’re still measuring the success of this, so I’ll keep this under my hat just now.

I just need to get her to lay off the ‘buckie’ before she posts on here again. ;-)

I actually met Lynne a few times a year or two ago. She’s a nice lady.

I actually met the 360 team coming out of Boho in Partick a few months back. Think I was sh*tfaced though! Please relay my sincerest apologies!

PS - You could maybe consider adding a “subscribe to this post option” in the blog.
