Social Media A Beginner’s Guide For Business
Late last night I finished reading, ‘The Beginner’s Guide to Social Media‘ an E-Book available to download from Blah Blah Technology and written by Wayne Smallman. There have been very few e-books which I have started and read till the end, however this is one which held my interest even when I was puffed out from a long day and looking to grab some much-needed sleep.
Why did this e-book captivate myself so? Well, one reason is the way in which it is written. Wayne writes each subject matter so well and it is obvious that Social Media is very close to his heart. He doesn’t intend the reader to reach for the stars but rather takes them on a well educated journey through understanding how Social Media, and all the other abbreviated sidekicks, can help promote a business profile online.
Wayne offers the reader real life examples to help drive home the point he is making, then there are also the well-placed links to help readers discover more on the subject matter Wayne is talking about. Sure it is a bit self-promotional but hey it’s his book and when you consider he is giving a lot of great information away for free then who can blame him plus the link drops compliment the subject matter greatly.
I, for one, will be telling clients to go download this free e-book on Social Media, next time they want an answer to why they should invest any of their time and money in blogging etc … As much as I love spending a few hours on the phone explaining the benefits of Social Media I doubt I could do it justice the way Wayne does.
